After a great summer DownUnder we are back in Texas for the northern summer. It is already nice and warm here with today around 90°F. Bring on the heat!

The journey was long and tedious as usual. My wife and I are both suffering from Jet-Lag and spend many hours awake at night. We have been waking at about midnight and not getting back to sleep until around 04:00. This should be over within a few more days. Then i will be able to get back and do a few programming tasks that have been piling up!

We have trekked back to Texas for the Northern summer but so far summer has gone missing. So much (again) for Global Warming.

In just over a week from now, we are heading to Italy to check things out there. This will be our first visit to Italy and it looks like being a lot of fun. We are touring with some friends from Texas and hope to enjoy some great wine and food there. Oh, yes, we are also going to take in some of the scenery and famous architecture.

There is one factor that may throw a spanner into the works though – The tour company have booked us on Alitalia for the flight across to Italy. Sadly Alitalia are having financial problems and it is rumoured that they may shut down whilst we are away. It is a long swim back to the US so we are hoping that this does not go wrong. Fingers crossed.

I will be away from my office here visiting friends in South Carolina for a few days from May 3rd. We are not sure of our return date, but it will likely be around May 10th.

I may be able to answer emails some days whilst away, but I will not have any development tools with me that week.

We are off again on December 2nd for a Long Weekend and some “Hands-On” customer training in Adelaide. Back in the office here on Wednesday December 7th.

emails should still work for support during this time as I will be travelling with my new development laptop PC.

Most support will be unavailable from 29 October 2005 thru about 10 November 2005 whilst we are travelling from Texas to Perth via London and Cairo ( We want to see the Pyramids ).

It may be possible to provide some limited support via email at times along the journey.

We travel from Texas to Western Australia in the first week of November 2005. Travel is via London (for just a flight connection) and then onto Dubai, then to Cairo. In Cairo we will see the pyramids and some tourist sites.

Then it is back on the planes for the 11 hour flight down to Perth
